An impactful visual refresh
The site redesign was a great opportunity to introduce a new, more modern visual style. To broadly appeal to the company’s international audience, we developed and implemented a new isometric illustrative style that showcased the company’s technologies at a 45-degree angle. The idea was to express the connectivity at the heart of CTA’s brand and create a unifying element that built greater consistency, unified a variety of communications, and created a more cohesive brand impression.

With audiences from around the world, the China Telecom site needed to create a strong visual impact no matter the size of the screen. We followed our desktop-first approach and scaled down to mobile devices. This was particularly important with the new illustrative style that included a variety of nodes and connectors evocative of the CTA offering.
Creating a framework for better storytelling
Based on the redefined user journeys, our UX/UI team developed wireframes for the different page types designed to address the unique needs of different audiences. Our goal was to up-level China Telecom’s storytelling, build credibility organically through the site experience, and reinforce their leadership position in the communications market.
